I will start with the scripture
2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore if any
person is [engrafted] in Christ (the Messiah) he
is a new creation (a new creature altogether); the
old [previous moral and spiritual condition] has
passed away. Behold the fresh and new has
come! (AMP)
This is the base reference for this blog. This is
the product of being born-again (John 3:3, 5;
1 Peter 1:3):
John 3:3 Jesus answered him, I assure you,
most solemnly I tell you, that unless a person is
born again (anew, from above), he cannot ever
see (know, be acquainted with, and experience)
the kingdom of God.
John 3:5 Jesus answered, I assure you, most
solemnly I tell you, unless a man is born of
water and [even] the Spirit, he cannot [ever]
enter the kingdom of God.
1 Peter 1:3 Praised (honored, blessed) be the
God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ (the
Messiah)! By His boundless mercy we have
been born again to an ever-living hope through
the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,
Our new creation is real; it is NOT a fantasy or
fiction. This is where God lives His life in us and
through us. This is a topic very dear to Father’s
heart. The new creation where the mind of
Christ resides in us (1 Corinthians 2:16), where
our renewed mind is (the product of Romans
12:2), and your new heart (Eze. 18:31; 36:26) as
prophesize in the Old Testament.
Ezekiel 18:31 Cast away from you all your
transgressions by which you have transgressed
against Me, and make you a new mind and heart
and a new spirit. For why will you die, O house
of Israel?
Ezekiel 36:26 – A new heart will I give you and a
new spirit will I put within you, and I will take
away the stony heart out of your flesh and give
you a heart of flesh.
This is where everything God gives us resides.
These blessings ONLY come to us through the
new creation:
- His righteousness,
- His holiness, justification, sanctification
(all imputed at salvation)
- all spiritual blessings Eph. 1:3,
- everything pertaining to godliness and life
(2 Peter 1:3);
- able to give us abundantly above what we can
think and say (Eph. 3:20)
- The Sabbath rest if God (Hebrews 4:9)
These are a few of the many aspects of the Life
of God living in the new creation. These and
many more are not available from your own
works or efforts in your flesh realm; Only in the
new creation where ‘the Sabbath rest of God is
available.’ Everything done outside the new
creation you are is nothing but dead works and
is dead. (Romans 7:28)
Most pastors/teachers barely touch on this topic,
if at all. Understanding the newness of life
through the new creation is the base for
discipleship, getting to know God, and growing
in the grace of Christ Himself. Hopefully this
blog will be a helps ministry to any local body
of believers.
God Bless and Godly Blogging,
Brad Heath
